Growing in Unity Day 3

I’m on a roll, 2 quick & easy cards done with the help of Unity Stamp Co. I figure with 5 designs, I can knock out the 60 cards I need to make in no time!

For my next card design, I went back to the September 2022 Kit of the Month {Fa La La La La}. There was a beautiful poinsettia that was literally calling for the new Tim Holtz Distress Oxide in Lumberjack Plaid. I created a small mask for the stamen using a post-it note and used my MISTI to stamp the flower out to get a lovely bold image.

I removed the mask, inked up the stamen with Tim Holtz Distress Oxide in Fossilized Amber, then used a tissue to “muddy up” the ink around the stamen. I also stamped the Merry Christmas sentiment in my VersaFine Clair in Nocturne.

I wanted to add a little bling, so I added some PinkFresh Studios metallic pearls in gold around the stamen – this also covered the area that my mask prevented the image to stamp.

I used a nice red cardstock to create my card and stamped on an insert using the Warmest Wishes sentiment from the same September 2022 kit.
